Baton Rouge Dream Center

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

I had the honor of preaching at our BRDC this Sunday and it was a blessing. It was fun to hang out with Craig and Hope as I watched their servant heart in action. We had 500 people which was the effect of a great Thanksgiving outreach to the community the day before. It was awesome to see the people worship God and many come down to the altar asking for God’s help to walk out this walk of faith day by day. I also had the pleasure of having my oldest son with me as a travel partner. He agreed that God moved big time in that service. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Influencing Change

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

I’m holding a Church United For Community Development staff meeting at Ascension House, our men’s home that houses 18 men helping them rise above. We have had over 1000 men come through here in the last 12 years. We have personally been able to share the love of Christ with each one. Our non-profit is doing everything from housing men, women and children, helping prisoners, running thrift store, serving widows, teaching children, serving the homeless, building the church and serving our community. We have a great team that does such a good job with influencing change in our community and in people’s lives. May God bless our work. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

I dare you

This is a candle light date night with my wife outside by a fire. What a special time for us. We had steak (on a stick), bread, apple pie (baked over the fire) and sparkling grape juice. We met on a blind date and roasted sausage on a stick and were married two months later! This date was just as full of fire as the first. Love never grows cold unless you let the fire go out! This was a response to one of the love dares in the Love Dare book we are doing from the movie Fire Proof. I dare all of you to take the challenge. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Stay Involved

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

I had the pleasure of meeting with two awesome people today. Senator Jody Amedee and Lee Domingue who is running for Senator in the East Baton Rouge area. I became friends with Sen. Amedee after running for the same seat six years ago. He won and has done a good job as my State Senator in Ascension. We have stayed in touch and I have stayed involved. Lee Domingue goes to HPC and we have been friends a long time. He is a strong follower of Jesus Christ and feels God has spoke to him to run for the State Senate in a special election that will be in March of 2009. I am so proud of him. All it take for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. Our communities and country will only remain great if good people stay involved. I thank God for men like Sen. Amedee and Lee Domingue. May God be with them both. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Amazing, Pastor Dino and Johnny are in San Diego, Isaac is in Africa, Lance is in Texas , all of the rest of the campus pastors are in our office at HPC Baton Rouge and we are having a multi media Campus Development meeting. We can all see and here each other in real time. What strides we have made in just a short time. We were able to discuss many ministry issues and here a great teaching from Ps Dino. Technology wow!
